Miss W contacted The Plumbing Group Limited when she began experiencing issues with er PulsaCoil 3. She had noticed that there was a leak coming from somewhere on the boiler. An engineer went out to the property to find the source of the leak. The engineer quickly found that the reason for this was that the cylinder was split and as a result, leaking. This meant that the unit was deemed beyond economical repair and had to be replaced with a new one. The engineer was able to do a temporary fix for Miss W so that she had some hot water while she waited for her new boiler to be installed.
Miss W had the choice between two replacement options; the Fabdec ThermaCoil or the PulsaCoil PCS. She decided to go for a ThermaCoil, which is the unit that we would recommend. This is because it is a far less complicated system. It works by using a single mechanical blending valve whereas the PulsaCoil has a number of different parts to it. This includes a Printed Circuit Board, Pump, Sensors and Relays for example. For the user of the system, this may not seem to make much difference. However, for long term maintenance it is much simpler and beneficial.
The installation was carried out in under three hours and the old unit was removed and ethically disposed of.
