Mrs S called The Plumbing Group Limited when she started having problems with her PulsaCoil 3 boiler. She called for an engineer to come out, which he did at the earliest available appointment. Upon arrival he carried out a number of tests on the boiler. Unfortunately, he found that the cylinder itself was split and leaking. When this is the case, the unit is deemed beyond economical repair and has to be replaced. In this case, the condition of the current boiler meant a temporary fix was not possible.

Mrs S decided she would like to go for the Fabdec ThermaCoil as her replacement option. This a far less complicated system than the PulsaCoil PCS and is therefore the one we would recommend. The PulsaCoil contains many different parts, such as a Printed Circuit Board, Pump, Sensors and Relays. The ThermaCoil on the other hand replaces all of this with a single mechanical blending valve. As a result it is a lot simpler and especially beneficial in terms of maintenance in the long run.

The engineer managed to remove and dispose of the old unit and install the new one within four hours. He then showed Mrs S how to maintain and operate her new boiler for future reference.
